Hetzer\"\", is a German tank gun from World War II. The design was based on the modified chassis of the PzKpfw 38(t) tank (Czechoslovak LT vz. 38). The vehicle was developed in 1943 and put into production in 1944. Over 2,500 examples were manufactured. The vehicle's greatest advantages were its quick and cheap production, low silhouette and steeply sloped armor plates that favored the ricochet of shells. After the war, the Czechoslovak factory continued production until the 1950s for its own and Swiss armies.
