The Morane-Saulnier MS.406 is an excellent French fighter aircraft designed in 1938. It was a single-seat low-wing monoplane with a modern design and very good performance. In 1940 it was the backbone of French aviation. Polish pilots also flew it as part of the Polish Air Fleet, which was created in France in 1940. Before the outbreak of war, Poland ordered aircraft of this type. Unfortunately, they were not delivered on time. The aircraft was in the states of many armies and was used by both the Allies and the Axis powers. For the longest time, until 1959, it was used in neutral Switzerland.
