The USS TANG is an American Balao-class submarine from World War II. The ship's armament included 24 torpedoes, an anti-aircraft gun and two machine guns. The maximum tested immersion depth is 180 meters. It was launched on August 17, 1943. On October 24, 1944, he was sunk during his fifth patrol. The sole commander of the unit was Richard O'Kane, who, together with eight sailors, survived the shipping disaster and remained in Japanese captivity until the end of the war. Statistics show that the USS TANG was the most successful submarine in the Pacific. 24 to 31 enemy ships sunk.
