The Vickers Wellington is a British twin-engine basic medium night bomber from World War II. From October 1940, it was also used by the Polish aviation in Great Britain. This extremely successful aircraft was produced from 1937 until the end of the war in 1945. It was created in many different variants that differed in equipment, not in the basic design. Due to their low maneuverability, the Wellingtons flew mainly at night. They were also perfect for coastal patrols and submarine hunters. They were also famous for their high resistance to damage sustained in combat.
The British Vickers Wellington bomber has been accurately reproduced from COBI building blocks at a scale of 1:37. The aircraft is 53 cm long and has a wingspan of 71.5 cm. Creating such a huge model required the use of as many as 1,162 elements. The set includes precise prints that do not rub off with intensive use. History buffs will appreciate the printed historical markings of the 305th Bomb Squadron of the Wielkopolska and Lidzka Region. Marshal Józef Pi?sudski. There was even a symbol of a duck carrying a bomb! The aircraft has rotating propellers, folding wheels and an open cabin where you can place two pilots included in the set. The hatch at the bottom of the aircraft opens and dummy bombs can be placed there. The whole set is completed by a building block with the name of the set. This huge brick bomber model is not only great fun to build, but also a detailed exploration of history. Build a story block by block with COBI!
