In the popular game of Nine Men's Morris, one player starts and places a piece on an intersection point of the lines. Then the players take turns placing pieces. Whoever manages to place three pieces in a row, i.e. close a mill, can take one of their opponent's pieces off the board. When all the pieces have been placed on the board, the pieces are moved from intersection point to intersection point. Here too, if a player can close a mill, they can take one of their opponent's pieces off the board.
