Where does the rabbit live? And when have we last petted it? How does it move?
During free play, the children discuss eight different animal species, stimulated by the illustrated puzzle cards, and imitate their sounds and movements. Then they try to put the puzzle pieces back together. They grasp and understand. With the color ball and the back of the cards, the children learn to recognize and distinguish individual colors. With the playful movement, "Bunny Hop!" promotes gross and fine motor skills. In the first rule game, "Where is my family?", the aim is to bring all the animal cards to the animal boards with the corresponding families, which are scattered around the room, and to move like the corresponding animal on the way there. The color ball determines which card can be drawn from the pile. Everyone now imitates the animal shown and hops, waddle or gallops through the room. It's great fun!
Two other game ideas provide even more variety and grow with the children's abilities. So hop, you bunnies, hop!
