The thirteen-meter-long Tyrannosaurus Rex was a bipedal predatory dinosaur that was an extremely impressive contemporary with its powerful skull and almost 20-centimeter-long teeth.
The Tyrannosaurus Rex looked very menacing, but could hardly use its short front legs, which had only two claws and did not even reach its mouth. At almost seven meters tall and almost thirteen meters long, the Tyrannosaurus Rex was probably not a particularly good hunter, but rather a scavenger that fed on what other animals left behind. It had more than fifty teeth, each more than 15 centimeters long, but it did not use them for chewing, only for tearing, as it swallowed its food in large pieces. To improve depth perception when foraging, the eyes of the Tyrannosaurus Rex were directed forward, so that the fields of vision of both eyes overlapped.
Interesting facts
If this huge predatory dinosaur lost one of its dagger-like teeth, a new one grew back within a few weeks.
