The players increase MANA, the harmonious life force of the Maori, by laying out pictures in front of themselves and their fellow players. Everyone strives for a large display of their own. But those who pass cards to their fellow players are also rewarded with MANA. This reward is particularly high when the number of cards laid out approaches the maximum of 6 per picture motif.
Players can reuse the MANA they have gained to get more cards even faster. This means that all players' card displays are quickly filled and provide a rich MANA reward.
Because your own display is off-limits for card motifs that are already there - and because no motifs that are not yet there may be played into the other players' displays, it is important to have the most suitable cards in your hand at the right time.
The winner of the game is the player who has the largest card display and the most MANA at the end.
For 3-4 players aged 8 and over. This particularly catchy and clever card game was invented by Peter Jürgensen. It was beautifully designed in authentic Maori style by illustrator Matthias Holländer.
• Age recommendation: from 8 years
• Number of players: 3 to 4
• Playing time: 15 minutes
• Author: Peter Jürgensen
• Illustration: Matthias Holländer
• The game includes picture cards with six different motifs. The player whose turn it is places one or more cards of a motif in front of themselves or the other players.
• Laying out cards is rewarded with MANA. Those who complete the card layout to 6 pieces receive a particularly high reward.
• Gained MANA can be used again to gain more cards faster.
• Whoever has the largest card display and the most MANA at the end of the game wins.
