The harvest season for the beloved bananas has begun on the island of the Cockaigne monkeys. Everyone wants to nibble on the tastiest nuts in their own island kingdom - but not every crookedly grown delicacy is ripe for it yet.
In three exciting rounds of the game - one harvest season after the other - the aim is to get hold of as many delicious bananas as possible. Therefore, there are several fights each season in which the plants with the ripest fruit are fought over. You have to think carefully about which equally valuable coconuts you should throw away in order to prevail against the competition. But it's not just the monkeys that are causing trouble for each other. Sly parrots have also acquired a taste for it and are trying to siphon off some for their own beaks. The fights continue until the last banana - sometimes pitch black and mushy - has found a buyer who is the highest bidder.
As soon as all players have gathered their supplies, the feast begins. However, only overripe fruit may be eaten in the first round. Yellow and green bananas are stored as supplies and may only be eaten after the fights of the second and third harvest seasons.
After the fights of the third and final harvest season, the green bananas have also ripened into real delicacies. Now it is clear who has managed to keep too many unripe fruits away from their necks and instead only get hold of the best, winning banana plants.
Ready for the Island is a cheeky card game for 3-6 players aged 8 and over, who will use any coconut to guide the tastiest bananas to where they belong: in their own mouths.
